Despite looking forward to this vacation to visit our group of friends overseas with my best friend, I am so relieved she can’t come with me anymore. She’s so much prettier, funnier, and more liked than I am. She makes me feel so much less, which makes it harder to interact with our friend group. They would all rather talk to her and I get it. I am going to be sad travelling without her but deep down a part of me is glad I won’t have anyone to compare myself to.
