So my friend owes me £160 and they keep asking to borrow more and more, they say they will pay me back but whenever they can pay me back,they end up not doing so, due to something happening and now I keep lying to them about not having money and I don’t want to keep lying to them but I feel they already owe me too much and they said they were going to pay me back two months ago…the thing is because I keep feeling guilty, I find it hard to get myself anything without feeling awful as they say they need it…

When you have friends like that, better to have enemies.
You gave this person enough rope to hang themselves, by lending money you worked for and earned and they showed their true colours by taking money from you and for whatever reason, not repaying any of that money and in fact, now they come to you with their hand out, wanting more.
I don’t call that person a friend, they are just another form of scum, who sees you as patsy, who they can take advantage of whenever they feel like it, for all the money they screw out of you dishonestly, with no intention, ever, of repaying anything.
Time to drop them off like yesterday’s trash and move on with your life, without them anywhere in it.
A lesson learned, is a lesson used – don’t ever lend money to anyone ever again and better yet, have “friends” who don’t ask you for money.
I have had friends like that – no need to feel guilty, I only need to be crossed once and I’m gone, as you should be too.
