I just learned one of my lifelong friends has passed away and my heart is broken. I regret not keeping in touch with him more often and having patience with him. I loved him like a Brother, but I also had issues with him. We both made our first records together in the 80’s as teenagers and we let our egos break our band up. We spoke about putting our band back together but then I dropped the ball because he started to express his ego and I just wanted to make a good record together and tour. He was a very smart and talented guy, but he also knew it and I was in a place where I just wanted to be about the art. I feared we’d end up getting hostile with each other so I balked on the project and put it on pause. I regret not being able to express this to him. I just wanted for us to make something our old fans would enjoy and show the world how much we’ve grown. I’m saddened…
