I’m a Work Illusionist!

Yes, I’m a work illusionist on the TOSC contract at the Kennedy Space Center. I work for Jacobs. I barely work 5 hours a week. The rest of the 35 hours are goofing off and using my cell phone to surf the Internet. Here’s how you can be a Work Illusionist:
Step 1 – put a page file on your computer that visible to everybody. It can be a slide from a PowerPoint presentation, a page of a document, etc.
Step 2 – place work related paper in front of your keyboard.
Step 3 – put your Smartphone (i.e. iPhone or Android) on the papers.
Step 4 – plug an ear phone into your SmartPhone.
Step 5 – place the ear phone in either your right or left ear. It has to be in an ear where a passerby won’t see it.
Step 6 – surf the Internet on your SmartPhone.
Step 7 – make occasional clicks on your keyboard. This gives the illusion you’re working.
Step 8 – change the page on that document on your computer every once in a while.
Step 9 – make entries in your companies activity report that you’re working on something even though you’re not.
Step 10 – enjoy getting paid for 35 plus hours for goofing off.
Don’t worry – if your coworkers are as stupid as my coworkers at the Kennedy Space Center, you won’t get turned in to your HR department.
The TOSC Work Illusionist wishes you many hours of helping America become the great country of slackers.
