I was once a catfish. It makes me guilty to this day that I deceived people with a false identity, but I can’t change it. See, I have so much trouble trusting people after certain…incidents…to the point where I’m terrified to show my face online, or anywhere. So I used some false images, a false name, etc. on a dating site. One person finally saw through it (bravo, Chloe! You deserve an award), and I had the decency to delete my account. She, despite being pissed, decided not to publicly expose me…however, I deserve to be exposed. Since then, I’ve given up catfishing and devoted myself to exposing other catfishes. I feel that by doing that, I’m repaying my debt. Still, I feel miserable from what I’ve done. Guys, don’t catfish. It messes up other people, and YOU will ALWAYS get caught, no matter how good a liar you are. I did an expert’s job, and still got caught. Like I deserve to.
