A while ago (around one year) I had called another person (who I don’t even really know that well) the ‘c’ word over text to another person (who hates the other person with a passion). I had thought that to just make this other person stop talking, I would say that this person whom they hated was a ‘c’ word. The person who I had wrongfully cussed off saw the texts and I was the only one who had gotten into any trouble. I was called up to the head of year and explained that I wrongfully called this person the ‘c’ word without meaning to harm anybody. I had apologised to this person around a week before I was called up to the office and explained to them how I was just angry at other things and that none of what I had said really applied to them, because I don’t even know the person and I had cussed at them. The head of year told me that the person’s family had asked him to talk to me about this and I explained that I had apologised etc etc. To this day, I still feel guilt. I apologised a few times already and I haven’t heard of this since, I’m a straight A student who had never been in trouble until then. I just have this terrible feeling in my stomach. I’m not used to being hated, because everyone is my friend and I love making people happy. That one little slip up cost me what could have been a nice friendship, and that person’s friends also probably didn’t like me. I came to this little confessional just so I could tell someone about this.
My parents don’t know about this and I will not tell them, it has been over a year now and I still have pangs of guilt over it.
Thank you.
Amen? Amen, I guess…
