Lightning strike? Vandalism? Ohio mayor says “we may never know” what destroyed the George Floyd mural. When the mural became rubble, some people rejoiced on social media and calling the lightning strike “an act of God.” A witness told Toledo Fire and Rescue that the wall on which the mural was painted fell after a lightning bolt struck the building. Toledo artist David Ross promised to “do it over, bigger and better.” Now if a bolt of lightning destroys the new replacement wall and painting, will it then be an act of God? Is a third time the charm?
