I have a big dream. Everyone does. My dream is to study abroad. Specifically in college. That’s why I want to study in the city in Grade 11-12. Senior Years. I’m from the province and the Philippines. It’s hard for us to study abroad and stuff. That’s why I study hard. It’s hard, though. My teachers assign too much work. I came from an average family. Our income monthly is 100,000 pesos which are only $2,081. Every day, I keep stressing about my studies. I can’t sleep at night and can’t think straight. As the eldest daughter and only girl in the family, they expect a lot from me. My grades are average. I have a problem with talking to people. I plan to study at UST (University of Santo Tomas) for my senior years. I’m not very good at speaking English. My problem is that I can’t sleep at night because my mind keeps questioning, “What if you can’t pass?” “What if you pass the written test but the oral?” I’m not an honor student but I always work hard on my school work. I plan to take one of the scholarships which is the Student Assistance Scholarship. I keep on worrying about my future. I’m scared.
