I have had several premonition dreams in my life and all of them have proven to be true. They are normally completely unhelpful because they can happen anywhere from a few day(s) out to an entire year before it actually happens.

Because of that, I have actively chosen to ignore them and as a direct result, I have personally hurt people close to me due to my own willful ignorance.
