I failed my promise to keep you safe, but at least I kept my promise to never hurt you the same way I was hurt. Which I am happy for at the least.

Recently, some people ruined my reputation by lying about me. I didn’t see it coming, and I was working so hard so I could adopt a daughter someday and start over. I failed that promise too.
