I have feelings for my female best friend (who I’m pretty sure is straight) and has a boyfriend.

I met her (A) and him (B) at university, and we became fast friends. She was dating a different boy at the time, and me, her and B became close friends. It was always the three of us, hanging out and having fun. My feelings were pretty strong for her but nothing happened until she broke up with her boyfriend. We started making out whenever drunk, and at one point she told me that she fancied me but she was really drunk and it was never mentioned again. I really liked her a lot at this point, but was too nervous to ever say anything about it seriously. Especially when she started talking about how she was getting close to, and felt attracted to, B.

There were a few weeks of us making out whenever drunk, but then she started dating our close mutual friend B. I guess I was pretty obvious because other people asked me if I was honestly okay with that, and I affirmed that I was, I know it’s just having fun etc. etc. but now I’m realising I still have major feelings for her and I guess I feel jealous and I feel guilty about that.

I don’t want to be jealous of her boyfriend, and I can’t hate him at all because he’s also a friend of mine and he’s a really kind guy. It’s just really frustrating and I don’t want to lose my friendship to either of them, but it’s also hard sometimes. I still make out with her occassionally when we go out and get drunk together, and B says he doesn’t mind, but being an intelligent guy, I wonder if he knows that I have feelings for his girlfriend.
