When I read the confession about the guy whose wife went to Burning Man, it reminded me of the things my ex-wife used to do. We were in our 20’s and she worked in the physical education complex for the university where I taught and she studied while working part time. (I taught in another part of the school)
We lived next door to one of the guys that worked out at the gym and he would often chat her up during work. He was timid around me (I am a pretty big guy but harmless) so he was reluctant to talk much when we were at home, even when invited. I wanted him to f*** her so much – and I tried to arrange it many times by leaving them alone or having her invite him when I was gone. But – he was too nice a guy to do that, which I respect very much and yet darn, I wish he had been a h**** dog! The good thing is that there was another guy – his name was John, and he was really into her. So much so that he let me watch him with her on more than one occasion. He was really good to me, too – very friendly and he always gave me a pat on the back and a firm handshake. Just an all around good man.
I miss those days. The relationship I am in now wouldn’t think of being with anyone else, even if I encouraged it. I should be happy, right?
