Growing up in England and being half Irish, Ireland never really felt like a separate country to me until a few years ago. I was always around Irish people and Irish culture even though I was in England. The two were indistinguishable to me which is funny considering the unhappy history between the two nations.

I’m an uncle to several that are actually older than me, in such I was placed in predicaments no regular adult uncle would ever be placed on. I found this circumstance as a lucky note of existence for me as I got to meet many other types of friends I wouldn’t have had on my own accord. Most of them would apparently enforce themselves on me thus giving me many s***** practices I don’t think I would’ve tried on my own accord. Experiencing all that with so many different boys and girls both were exciting and I am greatfull for being the baby in a large family. I got to see it all. My adult sisters preparing for their dates and stuff. The freedom of being naked around the house and even outdoors. Those were the days.
