When I was 11 my mom lied to a woman she worked with that something she said made me cry. It made the woman cry & my mom enjoyed it. Later on my mom told me if the woman asks about it to lie & say she did make me cry. The woman never asked me about it & I felt this guilt over it even though my mom is the one who did it out of anger towards the woman.

All the woman literally said was, “Oh look speak of the devil.” & She didn’t say anything bad about my mom, just mentioned her to me before my mom entered the office. The next day is when my mom lied to the woman saying that & the woman cried feeling awful about it. My mom’s excuse was for doing it was to make the woman stop butting heads with her. That is not even the way to go about a problem where you both b*** heads. Wtf?
