I am incredibly sick of people parroting “ew a straight white male” over things lately. I see people talk about Colbert getting the Late Show gig and they’re all “pfft another straight white guy, obviously it should have been a woman, a black person, a black woman” because they can’t get past his race and gender and s********. Isn’t that the opposite of what it’s supposed to be? That anyone can succeed? But no now if you’re not black you’re WRONG if you’re not a woman you’re an a****** if you’re not queer in some way you’re letting everyone down. It’s sickening and I am black and gay.
