Liked this guy even before entering high school, and by some stroke of sour?? good?? luck, we became classmates in high school and have stayed really tight with our group of friends even if our universities are cities apart. I thought I was over the 6 to 7 year crush, but when we all met up for the first time since the pandemic, he started joking around about dating the 2 of us dating each other. I went along with it of course, but oh boy did that slap me across the face and made me realize I was never really over it. I’m grateful for having a friend like him but in moments like this, I wish we just never became friends so it’ll hurt less knowing he and I know will never date due to legitimate the circumstances.
