I’m a felon. I did 15 years for being abused by my parents. I never struck them, but I was not allowed a defense in court. They had no marks, but I was covered in cuts and bruises.
They just lied and lied and lied during my trial, so I was sentenced to 15 years and did 3 years parole with counseling and 200 hours community service.
I’m now 33, so I’ve been free only a little while. My life was ruined before I was even able to have one.
