13 and Growing up. If my school district were moving me to a different school than all my friends I would talk to my parey about having a pizza or burger or hot dog party or meet up at a cup cake, ice cream or dessert shop. Explain to them that school will be letting out for summer break and you want to celebrate surviving the pandemic with your friends whom you will miss seeing next year. Also, be polite but brave, as we get older and mature it is natural to become more independent and assert ourselves. Esp by age 15 when you enter High School. It also helps to make good grades and do your chores independently without being told to do them. Being an adult is to be self sufficient and to not be afraid to ask for help when needed. So you may need to politely stand up for yourself and tell your parents that having a social life and being happy and having peers to talk to about life or stress is just as important to you as your studies and you want a social life, even if just on the weekend. As long as you keep your grades up you earned the privilage. Also technology: Instagram, Google hangouts, Zoom tea meetings, etc all make it possible to stay connected. Pray for your friends, parents and yourself. It’s going to be okay. Transitions in life may seem scary at first but if we learn to look at it as an exciting adventure to explore new territory and make new friends, or meet an aging teacher, then we can smile at fun new beginnings. I’ve had some of my friends from HS for 20+yrs and we have traveled the world together. And I will be praying for you to have ☮️ of ❤️ and mind and many new friends at your new school. Good Luck!☺️ – L
