F***, love and romance was better before the internet. The internet and and everyone and their dog at your fingertips, s****. Everyone see everything, it was better when you are where you are, and when it’s over, they’re gone, and that’s it. MAYBE you will run into someone who says something, gives you some clue about what they’re doing. Maybe within 3 or 5 years. No guarantee. MAYBE in 10 years you run into them at club and you know based on what it was, that both of you have strong feelings. You drive around the city alone at night, listening to the radio, thinking about it, contemplating it. Feeling it. Wondering what she’s thinking. Then eventually something happens that cements it for you, no communication for so long, she could be married on another continent, then you have a run in with them or someone connected and it just came ts it, it was something special to her. Exactly what I thought. Even if nothing happens it’s kind of magical. Not always, there’s many I don’t really give s*** about, in fact In really hope I never need to see or deal with them again. Not interested, but there’s a few heavy ones out there. Old. Almost the oldest. They were heavy.

Nowadays you can’t escape it. The internet has killed it for me. It’s just not good for me. I don’t see people online as people. I can’t seem to acknowledge the interaction as being real. I need to see the woman. Facial expressions, vibe, body language, how does she REALLY feel about me, it isn’t hard to read it unless you are online. We need to meet initially offline, by chance. Anything else is not something I’m open to or want. I’m closed minded on that. I don’t even have or use social media.

Then when you break up you need to look at all the s***. People don’t just f*** off If you don’t want to see them either. You can ignore, but it’s just too easy to look. There’s no escaping it if you want to have some space or whether you are doing it for the health of the relationship. Chill out, you don’t need to see or talk to each other every day, it keeps the “magic” alive. Distance.
