I am in love with one of my oldest friends. We’ve been friends since we were in middle school. I developed a crush in high school, but it was always unreciprocated. (I also never told him) During high school, he started dating one of my good friends and now they are (unhappily, but nonetheless) married with three kids. I currently have a long term boyfriend (who I love) and am no longer the overweight ugly duckling that I once was. My friend and I don’t speak as much as we used to, maybe 10 times a year. However, I still find myself thinking of him. Not often, but when I do it’s usually about how if he and my friend ever got divorced and if I was single I would hope that we would get closer.
