Hello straight A college student. It’s good to play the humble roll in life, even if you don’t have to. That role has worked well for some successful people. Perhaps because they do not look threatening.

What does the rest of the class think of the snarky professor, without hearing your opinion first to influence them?

There are likely issues in the professor’s life that make for unhappiness. Perhaps this professor realizes that teaching was the wrong career, but it’s difficult to change. People get pushed into careers by parents. Fortunately you likely won’t have this professor again, so it’s a short term thing.

You will find many disagreeable personalities in the world. Don’t take it personally, it is just the way they are. They are that way to everyone. Don’t waste your time trying to change people or get even.

Complaining about a professor won’t go far. There are always complaints about professors. The school has heard it all before about every instructor they have. I would not consider it an achievement to get someone terminated. That is not being kind or helpful.
