you remember several years ago, think back to the Belize trip. You were partying with a new piece of man candy and his crew but suddenly started to feel light heated, nauseous, a bit too drunk when you only had one drink? My friends saw him slip GHB into your cocktail and knew then they were up to no good. You made your way off the dance floor headed to the restroom and decided to sit on the sofa on your way there where you passed out. The next morning you woke up in your own hotel room, safe in your bed of white linens, mascara a little smeared, wearing the same lingerie you had on the night before you left to party. Did you ever figure out how you got from Point A to Point B unharmed? Per my request, my friends protected you because of my love for you. All the times you thought you were alone, an angel was watching out for you. Granted I did have a slight crush on you back in the day but knew I was not skinny, flashy or rich enough for your Lost Angeles lifestyle. Really I just lacked the confidence to tell you how I felt because you are out of my league and I wanted a wife, not just a lover and your family would never except us as a gay couple or me as a person due to differences in our social classes or the fact you would never come out of the bisexual closet. I decided rooting our connection in true friendship was important, not just lip service darling, in spite of the betrayals you have known good people do exist. I also helped a drink girl getting out of a cab once on the wrong street of the Upper East Side. She could barely walk, and was wandering onto the middle of York and East 82nd into traffic, being followed by some weird guy on the sidewalk who looked like he was going to attack her. I took her inside and let her sleep on my sofa until she woke with a hangover in the morning, much like yourself. Funny thing is I don’t even remember her name. You however, I will never forget but I thought it best to conceal my feelings for you for the sake of our friendship. What can I say darling; I am over protective of people I care about but as the oldest of my siblings it comes with a naturally inherited responsibility to watch out for the well being of others, which can also be a burden at times. Well that and I became a Life Guard for the American Red Cross at age 10, guarding people is my thing, kind of like a cute, chubby, waterproof bull dog. My oh my aren’t you the lucky one? 😉 I think our families were friends in a past life but I do not think we will be seeing each other again in this one any time soon. Just wanted to fill in the piece of the puzzle you never could, as this is one of many examples of close calls I saved your a** or pulled strings to protect you that you always wondered about. Now you know what I never told you. Not that it matters since you broke my heart when you married someone else but cest la vie. Regardless, I still wish you love on Valentine’s and every day of the year. 🦋

When I was around nine or ten years old, I had a best friend—let’s call her Macy. My dad and her parents were close friends, and so when my dad had to go for a week for something job related, her family invited me to stay with them. Me agreed and that was almost the best week of my life, until… Macy had a different house close to our town, so it was like day four or five, and they invited me over to their other house. Her aunt also had a house in that small town, and so Macy and her big brother—let’s call him Theo—wanted to go to their aunt’s and of course I came along. Me and Macy were painting, and she wanted me to clean the paintbrushes while she went out to get food, so I made a mistake by not knocking before entering the bathroom—I thought no one else was home—and inside was Macy’s aunt’s boyfriend, he was finishing zipping up his pants. I apologized, but he shrugged it off and said I could use the sink since he was already leaving, but he didn’t. He started feeling up my b***, and I just stood there in front of the sink, frozen because I was stunned. I was only like ten, what the hell was I supposed to do? He began asking me if I did gymnastics because he said I had a nice b***. I stayed quiet, but then he spun me around and started to kiss me…with tongue. Ew. I was only TEN. He was like thirty. I didn’t open my mouth though, I stayed frozen. I wanted to push him away but I was afraid that’d make the situation worse. When he pulled away he said that the kiss was only ‘friendly’. Friendly my a**, he was a p********! I finally ran off, I didn’t even know the town, but anywhere was better than in that house. By some miracle, I managed to find Macy, but I didn’t tell her what happened—I thought I did, but when I told her years later, she swore I didn’t, but I know I did, because he came to my birthday gathering the next year because Macy threw me a surprise party with close friends. She invited her aunt who brought her boyfriend, and Macy told me to not pay much attention to him—and I just stayed by her the entire time. I know something else happened between me and that pervert, but I don’t remember what he did to me because it was ages ago, and I’m glad I’m forgetting about it because that’s f****** disgusting. I texted Macy’s mom to ask her if we were staying over at their aunt’s house that night, it was the best news I’ve ever heard when she said ’no’.
