My therapist says that I need to start focusing on developing my 6 paramitas of buddhism. They are generosity, moral discipline/kindness, patience, joyful exertion/energy, meditation, and wisdom. We have determined that the two paramitas that are the most under-developed are my moral discipline and patience. My homework is to focus on developing moral discipline, the discipline to not do harm and to be kind, and to be more patient with myself, others, and the world around me. I love my therapist. She has incorporated my new age spirituality directly into my therapy in a seemless way.
