I agree, a proper lady, or gentleman, of wealth, would treat their maids with respect. Provide a bed or an area for them to sleep in. A proper true class act would take very good care of her “home” , not just the guests. But every person working for them. It talks in Proverbs 31, how a woman of wealth should treat her servants, Most men? Do not think of things like this. Some do. but that passage speaks directly to the women of wealth.
