You mentioned Threes Company, and I have a John Ritter story: I was a teenager, and I got to spend a couple days on the shoot for Sling Blade. Just there as a student, taking it all in and watching. The morning of the first day he introduced himself, he asked me about myself, and he went to do his craft while I hung to the edges of it all taking it all in. But he went out of his way a few times during down time to talk with me about the craft and business, and it was a real real pleasure. He was a truly nice dude.
