The gang members would climb in my den window while I was home alone watching tv at nine years old. They would unlock the back door to the washroom while I was washing clothes. The would open the kitchen slide door while I was doing homework. I trained my pets to yell loud to wake up the house so we knew when they were there. I would see a shadow walk across the living room wall watching me. I was in the house alone. I set a booby trap on the stairs to scare the street gang away. They kicked in our front door. They threw rocks through our living room window. They kicked our garage door and put dog poop on it. There was a noose hanging from our tree in the front yard. They would hide by my window. I would see their shadow. I could hear them talking. I’d hear footstep, someone sneezed and yelled in the intercom. I heard doors open and close. Our alarm rang at one then again at three a.m. sometime they’d leave the front door wide open. I saw the bugler unlock the grate room doors. When I come home they left out. I’d always hear closets and dwars open and close with no one home. I’d hear voices through the intercom or phone talking to me but when I pick up the receiver it was a dial tone. I would open the door to water poured on the floor.
