In 2009, I burned someone pretty badly. Now here’s the kicker. Either because of me burning them, or in spite of it, (not sure which would apply here), they ended up in a better situation. But, regardless, I still burned this person and have felt horrible ever since. I would love to see this person again and apologize, but I don’t see that ever happening. I don’t know what I would say. Here is what happened. It was 2009. I was a regular at a s*********. There was one particular dancer that I would go there to see. The aforementioned person that I burned. Anyway, things were great for awhile. I liked her and would have loved a chance to have gone out with her away from the club, but I knew that the age difference was a little too much. I was about 12 years older than her. But, nonetheless, I was cool with what we had. I was paying for her companionship, as it was her job and what not. Well, as time went on, she started to do things that I didn’t like. If I didn’t make it to the club one weekend, she would be lazy and then when her boss would get on to her for not doing anything, she would use me as the reason. “Well, my weekend regular pulled a no show on me”. By the way, that is the number one thing that a dancer is NEVER supposed to say to their boss. Then, when I would return, I felt like I had to explain myself to her. She even went so far as to say “well, it sure screwed me up” in regard to me not having been there one weekend. Not to mention, she was starting to cheat where private dances were concerned. As time went on, she just got worse. And then, some bad crap went down and I could no longer go to the club. Basically, the credit card companies had the cops pounding on my door. So, hitting the club on the weekends was effectively over. I had so many issues going on at the time, I wasn’t thinking clearly. So, that is when I burned the dancer. I was just mad at everything and everybody, myself included. I wrote a letter to the club detailing what the dancer had said and done and she was fired as a result. However, the very next week, I found out that she was working at another club and before long, by her own admission, was much better off and happier! By the time I heard of this, I was regretting having written that letter, but was glad that she ended up better off. Still, writing that letter was not a good thing for me to have done. I have felt horrible about it ever since. I take comfort in the fact that I ultimately did her a favor, but still, how in the world would I ever be able to face the poor girl now? No matter what, there would be some major awkwardness between us. My financial situation is FAR better now than it was back then, so maybe I could (on rare occasions) have her come over for private dances. Would money help make amends? At any rate, the thing about life is, no matter what you do, you can never take any of it back. So, I say, learn from me and think before you act!
