To everyone who has committed a s** offense- know you can rise above your actions and that one incident doesn’t define your whole life.

Yes, I helped a homeless s** offender reclaim his life after he saved my 7 year old daughter from being hit by a car. He grabbed her out of harm’s way when a car sped by her bus stop.
When I went to thank him, he was shaking in fear because he thought he was going back to jail because he violated parole by even being near a child.
I rented him an apartment for 6 months, bought him new clothes, helped him ace an interview and get a job, got him counseling for his irrational fear that he could never love or be loved because of his past.
Yes, he raped someone. Yes, he has mostly forgiven himself, bought his own house last month, is engaged, and now counsels other young men who were once in his shoes.
Don’t be cruel to someone based on his past- try to help them so they can have a great future. The more you treat others with tenderness and kindness, the less likely they will go on to hurt others because they feel worthy to love.
