i think i moved on.
some nights i still hear his laughter and when i close my eyes i see that familiar smile of his. but now it doesnt feel the way it used to. ive grown numb to it, yes i still say i love him in the middle of the night, yes i still look in crowds for him, but no, i do not feel the same shame and guilt i used to. all i really feel now is a sense of pity and resentment. i dont hate him but i dont love him. this night i couldnt sleep. when i closed my eyes i did not see the same face i always saw. his face was blurred out and his voice was almost a whisper.
im starting to forget. finally.
