Rejected an offer letter at the last minute. There was this recruiting consultant who worked tirelessly to get me placed in a good company. I attended 2 interviews and got selected in 1 company. I had to join this Wednesday but i got a better offer from another company which I could not disclose to this consultant. I told her to give me a weeks time to finalize but the company was adamant immediate joining. I made a lot of excuses but when nothing worked, i sent my rejection mail. Feeling very low and bad for her (she did send few cursing messages which i deserved) but i couldn’t help it as the other offer was better. It will take a long time to forget this incident. Any words?
