My neighbor Beth got pregnant when the She was just a teenager and then got married as teenager – at almost the exact same time I got a teenage girl named Sarah pregnant by accident when I was almost 25 – difference is I made Sarah have an abortion – then I cheated on her with an even younger girl and broke up with her because I’m a terrible person who’s probably going to hell
Now I realize when’s I see the little girls playing across the street I’m literally seeing an alternate reality of how my life could have been – with a white picket fence American Dream – it’s like “It’s A wonderful life” except there are no Angels here – only dark visions of what was lost
