I’m only staying in a relationship with my boyfriend so that he doesn’t take harsh action against himself. He has very unstable self-esteem and he just wants to be around me all of the time. If I tell him he is doing something I don’t like he will assume he is very bad and hate himself a lot. Then it is up to me to try and cheer him up and convince him he is good which usually ends up with me feeling down but I can’t tell him that or he will feel even worse and I don’t want him to do anything rash.
