Walked down a dirt road and saw a local dog farm. I watched as the guy hung up this beautiful dog. The dog nuzzled the guy and was so friendly and loving, not even knowing this awful man would kill him. He then began to hang the dog and beat it with a pipe. I couldn’t handle it and I ran up and took the guy by surprise. I grabbed the pipe and threatened to kill him. I took the dog down, but it was still suffocating. I rushed it to a vet and turns out the dog suffered from tracheal collapse. The dog barely survived from the abuse and now lives a calm life with me. I still think back to the man beating and hanging my dog. I was no better than that man that day. I took that pipe and threatened to hit him and I wanted to hit him. I still feel the guilt of knowing that I brought myself down to his level, but it was worth it to save what is now my dog.
