My best friends, two other girls and one guy, are pretty close. But the guy told me yesterday that he wants to ask one of the other girls out and asked me if I think he has a chance. This is driving me crazy in two ways: 1) I’m happy for him bc I know she’ll say yes (she’s been getting over liking him but still likes him), but I’m afraid that if they date/maybe eventually break up, it’ll screw up the dynamic of our crew, and 2) It’s SUCH a big deal, and I feel like I NEED to tell the other girl in my crew (not the love interest)!! I know he let me know because he wanted input on if she would say yes or not, NOT because it was just a secret, and I know it’s not my place to tell, but I also feel like my knowing about such a huge new piece of enlightenment and not telling my friend is also a kind of betrayal. I don’t think I should talk to her about it, but I have nowhere else to get it out. High school drama, am I right?
