same here…I love my family but that’s my only link with this society. I want to run away…
i actually do not consider it running away… its more like providing yourself an environment and society tht fits ur mentality… instead of staying in a society tht restricts you.. that why i feel misplaced..
there is something else. I’m not an outgoing person. for the moment i do live with parents but travelled a lot and live abroad. my problem is that i don’t interact at all with people outside the web. so everytime i end up by having a severe depressive episode…
Are you sure it’s not because you don’t want to? Honestly, I think if you gave this place a chance, you’d like it. I mean really appreciate it. Unlike the West, things don’t come to you here. You have to go to them. If you want to have fun in the Arab world, you have to look for it. But it’s worth it when you find it. In the West, fun is everywhere that we forget what it means. We see at as a way of life rather than a state of mind.

Ok.. There’s one thing I did for 3 and a half years in Lebanon is complain complain complain….
This country and region is mine just like it is yours.. so use it and abuse it… You deserve to express your wants and desires and likes and personality here without feeling fear or judgement… DO THAT
Be stronger than the rest.. live your life.. make this region yours.. that’s what I learnt.. and I do just that.. I do things my way, and trust me, my personality and my mentality is the complete opposite of the arab image..
When I started living life the way I see it, I became more attached to this place and all the people that think like me started coming my way.. its like a magnet effect…

Stop complaining.. stop acting or thinking like somewhere else would be better.. we all live once.. where ever ur placed.. make its yours.. make it your home.. because it IS yours.. Enjoy it.
Gays? Freaks? Sex before marriage? Drugs? What is it that you can’t do? Just find that crowd and you’ll see that everyone is living it and enjoying what they like…
