My partner and I are from different religions and cultural backgrounds and are in a relationship for 4 years. We are intimate and compatible in most of the issues except in terms of religion. We have totally opposite views in this topic. I’m an agnostic and I have this aversion to all religions in general as it appears to me that they create more war and hatred than peace and love. Personally i don’t like my partner being so faithful and blind believer of his religion. He’s a very good person and loves me truly and has never forced me to follow. But he has this idea of raising our kids as followers of his religion which bothers me. We are planning to settle down and get married soon. I don’t want our children to follow his way. I love him so much. I never discussed about this to him in detail for I feared it might hurt him. His belief causes me to get angry on him for no reason at times which creates misunderstanding between us.

Before getting married, should I discuss my thoughts and opinions about his belief and about how our children should be raised? Or Am I complicating our relationship by talking about something that is yet to happen? Is this insignificant? Should I change my perspective and move on as if I never cared?!
