Recently, my history teacher has been doing something that’s been bothering me in a small, but it’s definitely a gradual buildup. He’s generally a kind of nice person, but he’s getting kind of bitchy. When he gives us two or so weeks to write notes on a big chapter, the day we get them back, he says something like, “I noticed a lot of you didn’t do the work until a day before they were due. I guess I’ll only give you two days to do them now, then.” (He looks at the dates written on the notes). SORRY, but some people like doing the notes all at once! Some people forget, and work JUST AS HARD to finish before they’re due! And yes, some people procrastinate! The fact that we all turned in good work on time should be perfectly fine, but for some reason we’re judged on the way we do work that works best for us. ALSO, I asked him a question about how to do an assignment best, and if I needed to add more, and he said, “Well, if you actually did the work with your group, what you have should be fine.” It made me feel bad for asking, and I don’t think I’ll do it again. I’m not sure I like him that much anymore, and I just need somewhere/someone to vent to.
