I asked the Deli guy if he had any organic grass fed beef… His response :
Deli Guy : “Here at the deli? I don’t know, let me ask.”
He comes back, “uh what is that exactly?”
Me : “Just grass fed beef like a steak.” He squints a bit..
Me : “Cows that are fed grass..” His eyes open a little bit, but I can see he is still a bit confused.
Me : “As in not pellets, as in the cow eats grass before they kill it. Just Organic meat.”
Deli Guy : “Oh! Grass fed meat! I didn’t know. Uhh, i’m not sure. ”
Me : “…Okay, uhm well thank you. I’ll just check in the pre packed meat.. maybe there’s some over there.. ”

I knew there was none over there but hey, maybe today would be different. So I go check. Then I see the butcher standing right there in front of the meat so I decided to ask him.. Oh god why did I continue..

Me : “Excuse me, do you know if you have any organic grass fed beef here?”
Butcher : “Uhhh, I dont know. But what is it..?”
Me : (thinking oh no what the heck!) “Just Organic. Beef. Steak.”
Butcher : “Oh I have this ” And he pulls a regular tbone steak off his cart….
Me : “Yes but, do you have organic grass fed beef steaks? Organic?
Butcher : “Oh this is all.” And he grabs a ground beef bag thing with a fake organics label on it…
Me : … Thank you *smiles* I think I’ll stick with some pork today.

MY GOSH. Does nobody know what Grass Fed BEEF is?! I was not rude to any of these workers, I realize they are just trying their best to help… BUT WHAT KIND OF QUESTION IS THAT FOR A BUTCHER AND A DELI GUY. “Uhh what is it??” G’Z!!!
