So my birthday was 3 days ago and I was recovering from being sick (it was really awful and I still felt like crap). Although I didn’t feel like celebrating my birthday at all, my mom convinced me that inviting three of my best friends over won’t do any harm and might as well make me feel better.
So the day came and as much as I don’t wanna admit it, I was pretty excited. Only two of my friends showed up on time tho.. the other one was an hour late, apologised breefly, stayed for about 20 minutes and then left. I was confused and a bit hurt by her actions…it turned out that she had spent the day with a boy she had JUST MET and had to go so early because her father, to whom she explained that she had spent the whole day at my place, was starting to suspect something. She even made me confirm her story. Idk I felt tricked and abandoned. What kind of a best friend does that?
