Three years ago my then 50 year old mum kicked out my dad after 24 years of marriage to move in her 19 year old toyboy who she’d been seeing for months after they met at the gym. (He’s three years younger than me and five years younger than my sister)

It’s the best thing that could have happened. Her new man treats her how she should be treated – with love, respect and affection, and they’re so happy together. I haven’t seen my mum smile so much since he came into her life, and she looks great. He’s a really good guy and me, my girlfriend, my older sister and her boyfriend get on really well with him.

I like him so much more than my dad and he’s more of a man than my dad will ever be. I cannot thank him enough for giving my mum the love and happiness she deserves.
