Prometheus. It was a disappointing movie. I can’t figure out why people loved it. The main characters were all annoying and stupid, with no common sense and no likable character traits, I didn’t want any of them to survive. The story was lame and pretentious. The cgi effects were ok, but everything was so DARK in the movie I could barely see the effects. The old age makeup was horrible and so obviously fake. And what the heck with the alien c-section scene? I found it in bad taste, and not in an amusing way. The impregnated character should have just died when the alien burst out of her body… but instead she had a surgery to remove it, while looking like she was having an o***** or some crap. And then she was able to run around? Excuse me, but no. NO. That wouldn’t be physically possible, I don’t care how scared she was.

The climax happened way too early, and when all but one character died I totally didn’t care at all, because the movie didn’t give me anything to like about them. I was just wishing the movie would end, but it kept going. And then the woman proved she’s still an idiot, and so the ending s**** as much as the rest of it. The little ‘alien’ tease at the end was a cop-out at best- a last minute toss in to make it seem like a prequel, but it still made no sense.

Yet people loved it and it has high praise and positive reviews.

What am I missing?
