Ok, I’m 16 and I speak this with 100% confusion. Why do adults say that teens don’t know what love is? I know what love is. I have a boyfriend I’ve been with for more than a year and I love him to bits. But if I were to tell my parents that they’d say, “You’re too young to know what love is.” No, I’m not. Love is when you can relate to someone more than anyone else. Love is when you can spend all day sitting next to them and just be ok with talking or listening to the silence. Love is when the person you’re with makes you light up with just a little peck on the forehead. Love is when you and your significant other understand what the other likes and is completely ok with it. He loves Yu-Gi-Oh and I love Pokemon. We get each other. He cries on my shoulder and I cry on his. Some adults don’t understand that some of us teenagers do understand love. It’s different when someone says it from there heart and not from their g*******. If everyone “fell in love” when they were 50, then would my parents say that I don’t know what love is when I want to get married to my boyfriend when I’m 20? Age shouldn’t have to do with what you know about love. And some adults need to start understanding that.
