the mainstreamers have ruined steampunk. It was around for literally at least a decade before it somehow got into the public eye and into hot topic and all the people who think they’re being unique. Steampunk styles and items are supposed make sense as a functional thing, where the placement of gears make sense and the thought behind the steam powered technology makes sense… STEAM punk. Now it’s anything with a few gears hot -glued on it. but why am i surprised? mainstreamers ruin everything.
