I enjoy the work I do, I like that I’m someone willing to do it, to provide these things for others. But sometimes it feels like I spend hours doing this stuff and no one notices or cares. Once in a while it would be nice to get a ‘thank you’ or a ‘good job’ instead of this constant silence. At least some acknowledgement that what I do is worth it, that others see that I’m good at what I do, that they see how hard I work and that I do my job well. I mean clearly I’m not doing it poorly since I haven’t been told that I’ve done a bad job or that I should do something over again or been fired or something. But just a little acknowledgement, a little “hey S good job” would mean so much to me.
