Not physical? More emotional. I am a young teenage girl and I was recent ally diagnosed with Alopecia Areata ( you lose your hair in different places for me my hair on top of my head). I’m really scared. I don’t know why, I mean it’s not like I’m going to die, so what should I be worried about? But I don’t feel that way. To me, right now I feel like it’s the end of the world. I read up a lot of girls’ Alopecia stories online and a lot of them said that after about two years of having Alopecia they lost all their hair on top. This feels like too much for me. I searched for remedies or cures, but there is no known cure and all remedies have slight chances if working. I am at my breaking point. This is racking my mind every second of the day. I’m surprised I haven’t cried in front of anyone yet about this. I think I’m pathetic for crying.
I don’t like it when my friends tell me that I can wear wigs and that being bald will be bold and that I should and would “totally rock the look”. It get on my nerves because they don’t know what I’m going through and how hard it is when you play with, brush, fix, or wash your hair a piece or a clump of hair always follows. I don’t want to wear wigs I don’t want to be bald. I want my own healthy beautiful hair. I won’t have that anymore. I don’t know what to do. Oh, here come the tears. I hate this I’m pissed at the world.
