I learned today that my uncle, my mother’s brother, was broke.
His son, my cousin who’s my age, 17, is going to be kicked out of school because his dad can’t pay the fees.
His brother, 6 years old, got kicked out of kinder-garden.
Nobody knew he was in trouble, he didn’t tell anybody, and he refuses to ask our help.
When I heard that, I rushed to my room and got a 50 thousand bill out of my purse and gave it to my mom. As if it would help..
I just couldn’t stand there and not help.
Then I told my mom that I didn’t want money from her anymore, and that she gives my allowance to my cousin.
I can live with the 20$ a week that I get from my dad. I can s*** it up because I love my cousin!
My mom has always given my uncle more then she got from him. And I’ve always given my cousin more than I ever got from him.
But they’re my family, and I’m not giving up on them, I can make these little sacrifices for them, they’re worth it.
To all of you who read this. Forgive those who did you harm, Love those who need love, and Cherish the ones you have. Be there for each other, and never ever ask anything in return. Just have faith in each other.
