I had s** with my friend’s mom in my car after she catfished me.

When I was a junior in high school, there was a freshman that I had a class with; Alice. She was one of the really smart kids, so she was in a lot of classes normally occupied by juniors/seniors. She sat next to me and we got to know each other pretty well. She was from a pretty buttoned up Christian family, so she seemed to enjoy getting a chance to get outside of that, and we got fairly (non-physically) close.
In my senior year, Alice and I tried dating a bit. The first time I went to pick her up, I met her parents. They did the expected, sat me down, make the limits clear, etc. Dad was clearly the decision maker in the house. He didn’t appear overbearing (to me, anyway), but his wife/my friend’s mother just kind of sat by while he gave the dad talk to the high school kid coming to take his daughter out.
Having known Alice for about a year, I started to develop a legitimate romantic interest in her. Unfortunately, things got a little weird after meeting her parents, and I backed off. We didn’t really talk as much as things got closer to graduation, and then we just stopped keeping in touch completely.
Enter Alice’s mother. At the time, MySpace was the popular social site. You needed a college email to get an account. I was freshman at a local college, so I signed up. After a few weeks, a girl that claimed to be a student at my school contacted me. She had what appeared to be legit pictures, etc. We got to know each other over the course of a few weeks, and decided to meet up at a local mall. I sent her a text message, let her know I was there. She said she was by a particular store, but when I went there I didn’t see anyone that looked like her. I walked around the mall a few times and she insisted she was in that area, so I went back. Still didn’t see her.
Finally, as I was about to leave, she confessed that she wasn’t who she said she was. She tracked me down and approached me. Mind you, I had met this woman once about 14 months prior for about 5 minutes, so I didn’t recall who she was at the time. I was pretty pissed that this older woman would bait me like that. I said, “So you’re not who you said you were.” and walked away from her.
I’d gotten in my car and driven off and she said she really wanted to explain, and asked me to meet her somewhere. Being a very naïve 18 year old kid, I agreed, and we met in the back of a parking lot outside the mall. She got into my passenger seat and asked if I remembered her. To my knowledge, this woman was a complete stranger. She immediately confessed that she was Alice’s mom. I was 100% at a loss for words and recognized her right away. She’d cut and darkened her hair, so it’s possible that that’s why I didn’t recognize her.
I asked her why she had set up this fake account and asked me to meet her. She said it was just something she did for laughs at first, but then she actually enjoyed talking to me. She was hoping that when we met, I would recognize her. I wasn’t really that bothered that she’d done it, mostly just confused. This was late 2003, and catfishing to me what someone trying to steal your credit card number online or something. Not your friend’s mom disguising herself as an 18 year old on MySpace. So in that moment, it was just weird to me more than anything.
There was a point at which I kind of put my hands up and said something like, “Ok then…” not really knowing what else she wanted. That’s when she moved to kiss me. I was not at all expecting it, but didn’t stop her. I did the opposite and went right with it. Things went from there and we wound up having s** right in the driver’s seat.
I never saw her after that.
Not long after that, I joined the military, was gone for about 5 years, then got stationed about a half hour from where I grew up (total it had been about 6.5 years since the incident). I was out with a bunch of friends, by pure chance ran in to Alice at a bar. She was very different from the more reserved girl that grew up in a conservative household. We spoke for quite a bit, and then she just came out with it: “I know about you and my mom. She told me.” I was flabbergasted. Shocked. Embarrassed. I immediately started apologizing profusely. She just laughed it off and told me not to worry about it. We kept in touch for a little bit after that, but the military being what it is, I was out of the area again.
