Lonely, Disposable Me
You can join them if you want,
They’ll never notice you’re there.
But if you don’t it won’t matter
As they truly do not care
People are always knocking,
But they never knock for you
They only come for your roommates,
Yet they say they’re your friends too.
Still, you hold them all together;
You hug and dry their tears.
But, you can’t open up to them
And never have in years.
So, they all think you’re happy.
They don’t care enough to know
That behind this smile is a pain
That you will never show.
Still, they trust you with secrets,
For they know you won’t disclose.
You will always give but never get;
And that’s just the way it goes.
Always the planner and never the planned,
It’s how your life will be.
And, on the outside you will live;
You lonely, disposable, me.
