I dont find the death penalty to be barbaric. I think its a logical punishment and people allow their emotions cloud their judgement. If someone committed a crime so heinous that they should be locked away for life I think it would be easier to just hang them from tree in front of the courthouse. Charles Manson for example. He is never leaving prison. What is he being kept alive for? Guys like that.
