You tell me it’s inevitable, the end of your marriage. That I am not the cause, only the catalyst. I want to believe you, but I never wanted to be the catalyst either. Why did I have to fall in love with you? Why didn’t I just walk away when you smiled at me on that stupid train? Why did I let you take me out for coffee, let you fly me to NYC and kiss me in that bookstore? I just want to go back, to undo it all. But the truth is that I don’t want that either, because that would mean never meeting you, never loving you, never being loved by you, and I don’t think I could handle that either. My heart is in so many pieces, I don’t know how I will ever put it back together. I don’t know what is easier, with you, or without. What do I do?
